One of the first venues for Purple Aces basketball continues to play an important role in University of Evansville athletics. The Armory has been converted into a fully turfed indoor practice facility that is utilized by several Aces sports programs.
The UE soccer, golf, baseball and softball teams utilize the facility on a regular basis. The inside features a turfed field with netting around the entire field. An impressive golf simulator is available for the golf squads to practice on year-round.

James and Dorothy Cooper Stadium is the home to the University of Evansville softball program. Opened in March of 2002, the multi-million dollar complex set the precedent for softball facilities in the Midwest. The stadium was the host venue for the 2003 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and is slated to host the championship once again in 2021.
Thanks to the generosity of Jim Domen, the facility received a new LED scoreboard in 2017.
Cooper Stadium boasts a seating capacity of 650 in chairbacks and includes covered seating over 40% of its seats. The lighted ballpark is complete with sunken dugouts, an enclosed press box and extensive warmup cages down both foul lines.
The construction of Cooper Stadium Stadium began in March, 2001 and was part of a multiple expansion plan of UE athletic facilities that also included renovation and construction at Arad McCutchan Stadium for soccer and construction of Braun Stadium for baseball.
